K L E I N F E L 0 E R <br /> 1 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY <br /> This is a report of Kleinfelder's Limited Soil and Groundwater Assessment conducted at the <br /> Manteca Unified School District (MUSD) facility located at 2901 Louise Avenue, Manteca, <br /> California The limited soil and groundwater assessment was conducted after correspondence <br /> with Mr John Fultz, and is based upon Kleinfelder's "Revised Proposal, Limited Soil and <br /> Groundwater Assessment, Manteca Unified School District Farm Site, Former Underground <br /> Storage Tank, 2901 Louise Avenue, Manteca, California", dated August 20, 1998 <br /> A single temporary well (B1/TW-1) was advanced to about 18 feet below ground surface (bgs), <br /> in the estimated central portion of the former UST Four soil samples were obtained at intervals <br /> of five feet beginning about 7 feet ground surface One groundwater sample was collected <br /> following construction of the temporary well in the boring The soil and groundwater samples <br /> were analyzed for selected petroleum constituents <br /> Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as referenced to Diesel (TPH-D) were detected in three of the <br /> four soil samples and the groundwater sample analyzed TPH-D concentrations in soil ranged <br /> from 168 to 5 34 mg/kg, from soil samples collected at depths of about 8 and 13 feet, <br /> respectively The groundwater samples collected from B 1/TW-1 had a reported concentration of <br /> 389 µg/l TPH-D <br /> The data gathered during Kleinfelder's assessment indicates there is diesel-affected soil and <br /> groundwater in the vicinity of a former UST The vertical and lateral extent of the affected soil <br /> and groundwater is unknown <br /> A copy of this report should be submitted to the PHS/EHD for their review and comments <br /> This report is subject to the limitations found in Chapter 7 of this report <br /> ' 20-1311-40 E01/2019R039 Page I of 13 <br /> 0 1999,Klemfelder,Inc January 20, 1999 <br />
