(Figure 1). The site is located in a commercial area of Stockton and <br /> encompasses an area of approximately 037 acre. The property is bordered to the south by Hammer <br /> Lane,to the west by Lower Sacramento Road,and to the north and northeast by a shopping center. <br /> f � i <br /> t .2.3 Site Afstoa <br /> i Records from the San Joaquin County Assessor's office indicate that the Parcel No. is 077-330.49, and <br /> that the land is owned by Y.C.Soda. Shell Oil Company(Shell)owns the station building,underground <br /> storage tanks,and piping. Mr. John Kindrick is the current station operator and has leased the facility <br /> k" from Shell for the last 9ears, Due to the age of the steel under <br /> z <br /> Y g ground storage tasks,Shell decided to <br /> replace them with fiberglass tanks. <br /> t � <br /> A precision tank test was performed during the summer of 1987 by Hunter Environmental on the three <br /> former unde.gmund storage tanks. The results,as discussed with the owner,did not indicate a problem <br /> with the tightness of the tanks. <br /> On December 20,1988,three steel underground storage tanks were excavated and removed from the site, <br /> t "? A tank closure report detailing tank removal activities was submitted to the SJLHD in April 1989. Three <br /> _ � t <br /> new 10,000-gallon double-wailed fiber gr g <br /> c � glass.underground storage tanks were installed on December 22 <br /> 1988.
