Boring samples showed
diesel and fuel oil @ approximately 15 ft. No BTEX detected.
Mav 24 and 28, 1991 Prop 65 and UAR notification for bunker oil UST #3 done by Tish
Briggs.
Sept. 23, 1991- Tanks 1 and 2 removed, Tish Briggs observed no odor or discoloration to
soil beneath the tanks. Soil sample results evidenced 1.2 and 1.4 parts per million of TPH-
d. No further action was required for these UST's. .
Nov. 4, 1994-Site entered LOP due to confirmed contamination from UST#3.
January 17, 1995- EHD sent Notice of Reimbursement letter to site.
February 7, 1995- More soil samples were taken below 8,500 fuel oil UST#3. Boring
sample results showed diesel and bunker fuel oil contamination as high as 9600ppm at 15
ft. All boring sample results were non-detect at 20 and 25 ft..
Mav 28, 1996-PHS/EHD letter approving closure in place conceptual plan for UST #3
with conditions .
I
July 9, 1996-Russ Mathewson Responsible Partyrepresentative, obtained a Closure In
Place Application for UGT #3 due to it being too near a water tower to allow for removal
activities without affecting the structural integrity of the tower. Soil samples were taken below all UGT's, some diesel and low
level BTEX contamination was detected. Soil stockpiles were sampled and isolated, diesel
detectable. Prop 65 completed for these tanks.
October 23, 1996 Another 10,000 gal. UGT#4 was removed from the same pit area as the
other 4 diesel tanks, under witness of Tish Briggs, REHS. Soil samples were taken below
UGT.
Dec. 16, 1996-PHS/EHD sent letter to site requiring further investigation of contamination
in the area of UST's 94, 5, 7, 8, 9..
