Iv
L. - 05 May 2004
k...e AGE-NC Proj ect No. 01-0886
BTEX constituents were only detected in soil samples collected from B-1 and. B-2. The highest
Lim concentrations were detected in sample 132-30 at concentrations of 0.02 mg/kg(benzene),22 mg/kg
(toluene), 29 mg/kg (ethylbenzene) and 170 mg/kg(total xylenes).
MTBE was detected by EPA 802Prin one soil sample collected from soil boring B1-15 at a
concentration of 0.08 mg/kg, however, these concentrations were not confirmed by EPA 8260
analysis of the same sample. 1,2-DCA and EDB were not detected above laboratory reporting limits
Iv in the 10 soil samples analyzed by EPA 8260.Fuel oxygenating additives DIPE,ETBE,TAME and
TBA were not detected above laboratory reporting limits in the same 10 soil samples analyzed by
EPA 8260. Analytical results of soil samples are summarized in Table 1. The laboratory report
+r (CTEL Laboratory Project Number CT214-0305028) and chain-of-custody form are included in
Appendix B.
4.3. ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GRAB GROUND WATER SAMPLES
`r TPH-g was detected in grab groundwater samples 131-1120,B2-1-120 and B3-H2O at concentrations
of 180 µg/l, 130 µg11 and 150 gg/l,respectively. TPH-d was not detected in any of the ground water
samples analyzed.
BTEX compounds were detected in each of the ground water samples; the highest concentrations
re detected in sample B1-H2O at concentrations 5.6gg/1 (toluene), 3.0 µg/1 (ethylbenzene) and
1 .5 gg/l (total xylenes). Benzene was not detected in ground water samples.
6. y MTBE was detected in ground water samples B 1-H2O,B2-H2O and 133-1-120 at concentrations of
68 µg/1, 41 gg/l and 53 µg/1, respectively.
LM 1,2-DCA was detected in ground water samples B1-H2O, 132-1-120 and B3-H20 at concentrations
of 170 µg/1, 99 gg/l and 130 pg/l, respectively.
LN Oxygenated fuel additives EDB,DIPE,ETBE,TAME and TBA were not detected above laboratory
reporting limits in the three ground water samples. The analytical results of ground water samples
are summarized in Table 2. The laboratory report (CTEL Laboratory Project Number CT214-
' 0305003) and chain-of-custody form are included in Appendix B.
V
1.. t
LW Advanced GeoEnvironmental,tne.
LM
