ANDERSON ENVIRONMENTAL
A N D A S S O C I A T E S INSPECTIONS & TESTING
!, LABORATORY SERVICES
SII POOL ENGINEERING
POST TENSION DESIGN
November 9,2005
NOA Project Number: E05132C
PHASE II ENVIRONMENTAL SITE ASSESSMENT WORKPLAN
LIGURIAN VILLAGE SUBDIVISION
MAIN STREET AND DEL MAR AVENUE
STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA
Neil O.Anderson&Associates, Inc. (NOA) has been retained by Ms. Suzanne Stone of Kimball
Hill Homes to perform a Phase II Environmental Site Assessment (Phase II) as part of their due
diligence process for the subject Site. Kimball Hill Homes intends to develop the site as a
residential subdivision.
NOA previously completed a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment for the Site, which identified
the following potential on-site conditions:
1. Records research indicates that a 550-gallon underground gasoline storage tank was installed
immediately adjacent to the subject property in 1957. The tank was removed without a
permit approximately five years ago.
2. The subject property has been used for agriculture in the past.
3. Agricultural chemicals have been stored in the barn on the subject property. Oil stains to
soil and open containers of waste oil were observed in and around the bam.
The Phase II will investigate the Site for evidence of any impacts to soil from the potential
conditions listed above.
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) requires a workplan be
prepared before drilling permits can be issued for environmental investigations. A drilling permit
will be required for the proposed boring near the adjacent former underground storage tank.
The workplan is organized into the following sections: general information, health and safety plan,
soil sampling procedures, proposed time schedule for work, and report preparation. We understand
the investigation may not proceed until after EHD staff approval of the workplan and issuance of a
drilling permit. A California licensed geologist will oversee the investigation on the Site.
LODI ■ SACRAMENTO ■ MODESTO
ENVIRONMENTAL DIVISION 902 Industrial Way,Lodi,California 95240 11111209.367.3701 ■ 209369.4228 fax ■w .no
