Main Street, Manteca; Site Code 2333-1
Dear Miss Lagorio;
On behalf of my client, Claudio Dell 'Eva, I am requesting an up-
date on the status of the Manteca Bean/Golden Grain remediation
project adjacent to the above property. I am particularly
interested in the latest water sampling results from MW #14,
which is downgradient from the Modesto Dry Ice site. Although
some contamination was observed in that well in November, 1989, a
later test showed it to be clean. I assume that the wells are
being tested at least semi-annually, and possibly oftener; I
would appreciate an update on laboratory results of water samples
from both MW #10 & 14.
If the tests reveal that no contamination is present, then I do
not believe that any further work is required by Mr. Dell 'Eva.
Any contamination present beneath his property should have been
detected in the down-gradient wells in the four years since the
tank was pulled. The value of the property does not justify the
expense of a groundwater investigation which is not needed or
necessary; the monitoring wells on the adjacent site would have
detected any contamination coming from the property.
I would appreciate it if you would review the status of the
Manteca Bean project and apprise me of the results.
Sin re ,
Wi J.
