PACIFIC <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL <br /> GROUP INC r r- <br /> COP `w� <br /> 3 <br /> June 16, 1997 <br /> ; <br /> Project 920-102 6A y Ca <br /> Mr Brett Hunter <br /> le <br /> Chevron Products Company <br /> P O Box 6004 \ bl <br /> San Ramon, California 94583-0904 ��' <br /> Re Case Closure Report O <br /> Chevron Service Station 9-1452 <br /> 334 East Main Street <br /> Ripon, California <br /> Dear Mr Hunter <br /> On behalf of Chevron Products Company (Chevron), Pacific Environmental Group, Inc <br /> •� (PACIFIC) has prepared this Case Closure Report for the above-referenced site Based <br /> on the results of previous soil sampling activities, groundwater monitoring results over <br /> the last year, sensitive receptor survey, and investigation of the beneficial uses of <br /> groundwater in the vicinity of the site, PACIFIC recommends closure of this site <br /> This Case Closure Report has been prepared in accordance with the Tri-Regional Board <br /> Staff Recommendations for Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation of Underground <br /> Tank Sites, and Appendix B, Requests for Closure A completed Case Closure <br /> Checklist has been included as Attachment A <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The subject site is an operating Chevron service station and is located at 344 East Main <br /> Street, in Ripon, California (Figures 1 and 2) The site was originally constructed in <br /> June 1969 Site topography is relatively flat and site elevation is approximately 70 feet <br /> above mean sea level (MSL) Land use in the site vicinity is primarily agricultural The <br /> nearest large body of surface water is the Stanislaus River located approximately 2,000 <br /> feet to the east of the site (Figure 1) <br /> Available site information indicates that the original product facilities included four <br /> steel underground storage tanks (USTs) (two 10,000-gallon gasoline, one 5,000-gallon <br /> gasoline, and one 1,000-gallon used oil) Additionally, original facilities included two <br /> product islands and one floor sump associated with a lube bay The gasoline USTs <br /> ! 131 i Sunns( Gold Circle Suit( M Ran(ho Cordova California 05742 (9](1) 858 2350 FAX (916) 858 2ISS <br />
