From: Vicki McCartney [EH] [mailto:vmccartney@sjcehd.com]
Sent: Tuesday, October 11, 2011 10:09 AM
To: rnatal@advgeoenv.com
Subject: California Stop
Good morning Rebecca,
I received a permit application for one boring, 3 monitoring wells, 2 vapor extraction wells, and 2 injection
wells to be advanced and installed at California Stop located at 2224 Manthey Road in Stockton along with
a check for $500.00 from AGE.
Has AGE received concurrence from the California Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central Valley
Region (CRWQCBCVR) to proceed with the ozone feasibility pilot study without performing the ozone
bench-scale test? Has AGE met the CRWQCBCVR requirements for issuing/not issuing the waste
discharge requirement (WDR) permit?
The check for $500 will only cover the one on-site boring and three-hour inspection fee. I also must ask
you to resubmit the boring permit application since it can not be included on the permit application for the
well installations.
Our department approved three soil vapor extraction (SVE)wells but the permit application only indicates
two SVE wells.
Assuming 1 deep well, 2 shallow wells, 3 SVE wells and 2 ozone injection wells will be installed on-site,
AGE must submit an additional $1000.00. ($125 x 8 = $1000.00)
I did not receive information concerning the one off-site well to be installed on the 1-5 on-ramp. What is
happening with this well?
I am leaving shortly and will be in the field most of today. Also, tomorrow afternoon I will be leaving the
state and won't be back until Tuesday, October 18th. I am available the week of October 31st. I do have
something early Monday morning, October 31 st, and Tuesday morning (a meeting from 9 til 10 a.m.) but
should be available for the fieldwork that week.
Vicki McCartney, Senior REHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
600 East Main Street
Stockton,California 95202
Phone: (209)468-9852
Fax: (209)468-3433
Email: vmrcartne sjcehd co_m
10/11/2011
