(ATC) and has the following comments.
In the Work Plan ATC proposes the advancement of seven cone penetrometor test (CPT)
borings with accompanying hydropunch borings to collect discrete grab groundwater samples,
the installation of three remediation wells to be used in a soil vapor extraction (SVE) pilot test,
and outlines performance of an SVE test.
Data from the proposed CPT borings will be used to develop a more complete hydrogeologic
model of the site. .Data from analysis of the hydropunch samples will provide a more complete
definition of the vertical and lateral extent of the groundwater contamination. The goal of the
proposed SVE pilot test is to determine if SVE would be an effective remediation strategy for
mitigation of the petroleum hydrocarbon impacted soil in the source area of your site.
The EHD approves the scopes of work outlined in the Work Plan. Please proceed with
submittal of an EHD drilling permit application, $89.00 permit application fee and $294.00 permit
inspection fee for each parcel of land on which drilling will be performed, and with scheduling
the approved work. Access agreements and/or encroachment permits must be obtained for all
offsite work and copies must be submitted with the EHD permit applications. If you have any
questions please call Lori Duncan at (209)468-0337.
Sincerely,
Lori Duncan, Senior REHS Nuel C.
