Present at the meeting were Jeanne Homsey, ATC
Associates, Inc. (ATC), Lorraine Sawyer, ATC, on speaker phone, and Lori Duncan and Nuel
Henderson, SJC/EHD.
The following items were discussed and/or agreed upon at the meeting:
1. All trenching for replumbing the ozone infusion remediation system has been
completed; new tubing has been received by ATC and the system should be
reconnected and back in operation by next week (December 21, 2007).
2. SJC/EHD has approved the installation of two additional shallow ozone infusion points
and two shallow onsite groundwater monitoring wells.
3. ATC will submit a work plan addendum for conducting a cone penetrometor test(CPT)
boring investigation, proposing both onsite and offsite locations. The work plan
addendum will be submitted no later than January 15, 2008.
4. The need for additional groundwater monitoring wells, both on and offsite, will be
evaluated following analysis of the CPT investigation results.
5. Remediation of the onsite vadose zone contamination must be addressed. ATC will
submit a work plan for the installation of a minimum of two soil vapor extraction (SVE)
wells and for conducting an SVE pilot test. The work plan will be submitted no later
than January 15, 2008.
6. ATC will provide technical justification for conducting another pumping test on
extraction well EW-1.
To reduce mobilization costs, SJC/EHD recommends the CPT investigation be completed prior to
the installation of the groundwater monitoring or remediation wells.
