. THIRD QUARTER,2002
GROUNDWATER MONITORING REPORT
JAMAR OIL DISTRIBUTION
NOVEMBER 2002
EthyIbenzene was detected in the samples collected from MW-2 and MW-3 at 67,ug/l, and 69
,ug/l,respectively Total xylenes were detected in samples collected from MW-1, MW-2, MW-3
and MW-4 at 1,400µg/1, 170µg/1, 38,4g/1 and 1,200µg/1, respectively
MTBE was detected in samples from all wells at concentrations ranging from 200,000µg/1 in the
sample from MW-1 to 3 1 µg/l m the sample from MW-5 Tertiary butyl alcohol(TBA)was
detected in the sample collected from MW-4 at 1,900µg/1 1,2-DCA, DIPE, ETBE,TAME, and
EDB were non-detect in all samples taken this quarter
Groundwater analytical data are summarized in Table 2 and shown on Figure 5 Copies of the
laboratory reports with COC documentation are included in Appendix B
CONCLUSIONS
Generally, the petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations and MTBE have remained relatively
consistent over the last two years However, the extent of impacted groundwater remains
undefined at the site 1, 2-DCA was not detected this quarter in the sample from MW-1 The
previous quarter detection of 1,2-DCA in MW-I appears to be an anomalous event TBA
continued to be detected in samples from MW-4
SCHEDULE
The next quarterly monitoring event is scheduled for December 2002 The Fourth Quarter
Monitoring Report will be submitted on January 31, 2003
GHH is currently awaiting pre-approval from.the UST Cleanup Fund prior to proceeding with
additional subsurface investigation work at the site. This pre-approval had not been received as
of the date of this report
5
