Cummings and Associates (JPCA) is pleased to forward to <br /> you the 2nd Phase II Environmental Assessment Report for the soil <br /> borings, well construction and groundwater sampling for the work <br /> completed on August 21, 22 and 30, 2000 at 4075 East Main Street <br /> in Stockton, CA 95206 . <br /> l <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> Figure 1 is a site location map. <br /> It was reported that three Underground Storage Tank (UST) , used <br /> to store gasoline were removed from this site in December 1998 . <br /> Two UST are reported to have been removed from this site during <br /> June 1995 . A 300 gallon tank reportedly was a waste oil UST and <br /> the other a 500 gallon kerosine' UST. Figure 2 is a plan of the <br /> subject property. <br /> Soil samples collected from the bottom of the gasoline UST <br /> excavation at the time of the UST removal as well as under the <br /> piping, islands and spoils piles were analyzed for Total <br /> Petroleum Hydrocarbon as gasoline (TPHG) ; Benzene, Toluene, <br /> Ethylbenzene and Xylene (BTEX) . Soil was excavated to about 23 <br /> feet. The soil samples taken below the UST in native soil showed <br /> a range of <1 to 16, 000 parts per million (ppm) TPHG,. The <br /> results of these analysis were documented in a report by , <br /> MCCAMPBELL ANALYTICAL, INC. , dated December 17, 1998 .
