The construction using 25 feet of screened casing <br /> allows for at least fifteen of screen into the saturated zone. <br /> Task 4 <br /> After the additional four monitoring wells are constructed, JPCA <br /> will measure the groundwater depth in the new monitoring wells as <br /> well as the five existing monitoring wells with an electronic <br /> probe prior to purging. <br /> A new survey to establish the well heads elevation with respect <br /> to each other will be completed. The gradient will be calculated <br /> for the site based on depth to water data collected and surveyed i <br /> top of the casing elevations , I <br /> Task 5 <br /> SPCA strongly suggests that an additional well [extraction well.] , <br /> with a 4 inch diameter casing be constructed to approximately 75 <br /> feet below grade, with 25 feet of screened casing allows for at <br /> least fifteen of screen into the saturated zone, adjacent to the <br /> Boring B1 , and is identified in Figure 2 as EW-1 . Soil samples will be <br /> collected at each 5 ft level interval or at significant changes <br /> in lithology commencing at a depth of ten feet, using a split <br /> spoon tube sampler loaded with pre-cleaned brass tubes. <br /> All soil samples will be checked with a Fhotoionization Detector <br /> [PID] which indicates organic vapors. All soil samples in excess <br /> of background levels will be analyzed. <br /> soil samples collected in the lowest brass liner will be <br /> preserved by covering both ends with Teflon tape, capping with <br /> plastic caps and sealing the caps with plastic tape. Soil <br /> samples will be labeled and logged under Chain-of-Custody (COC) <br /> control . Soil samples will be stared in a cooler with ice, <br /> transported to a state certified laboratory for analysis with COC <br /> doCllmentation. <br /> The cuttings will be stored on visqueen and covered with <br /> visqueen. <br /> The borings will be logged by inspection of the samples and <br /> 4 <br />
