The well head will be placed in a service <br /> vault with piping from the well head, in a subsurface channel, to <br /> the rear [north] of the property. An air pump test will be <br /> conducted to ascertain the ]_evel of fuel residue vapor from the- <br /> soil . <br /> hesoil . <br /> JPCA will use a C--57 licensed driller and 10-inch diameter <br /> hollowµ-stem augers. Soil samples will be collected at each 5 ft <br /> level interval or at significant changes in lithology commencing <br /> at ' a depth of ton feet, using a split spoon tube sampler loaded <br /> with pre-cleaned brass tubes . <br /> All soil samples will be checked with a Photoionization Detector <br /> [PTD) which indicates organic vapors . All soil samples in excess <br /> of background levels will be analyzed. <br /> Soil samples collected in the lowest brass liner will be <br /> preserved by covering both ends with Teflon tape, capping with <br /> plastic caps and sealing the caps with plastic tape. Sail <br /> samples will be labeled and logged under Chain-of--Custody (COG) <br /> control . Soil samples will be stored in a cooler with ice, <br /> transported to a state certified laboratory for analysis with COC <br /> documentation. <br /> The cuttings will be stored on visqueen and covered with <br /> visqueen. <br /> The borings will be logged by inspection of the samples and <br /> classified using the Unified Soil Classification System by a <br /> California Certified Engineering Geologist . <br /> { <br /> A maximum of 31 soil samples i.s anticipated to be collected <br /> in this task. <br /> ask 7 <br /> JPCA will prepare the required drilling permits from San Joaquin <br /> County Public Health Service, Environmental Health Division (SJC- <br /> FNS-EHD) , complete a site Workplan, a site health and safety plan <br /> and contact U S Alert to check on the location of underground <br /> Utilities.
