(Ultramar), Horizon Environmental Inc. (Horizon) has <br /> prepared this preliminary results report and work plan addendum for former Beacon Station <br /> • No. 12474 in Stockton, California (Figure 1). This report documents performance and <br /> results of a preliminary phase of an additional subsurface investigation for delineation of the <br /> vertical extent of dissolved hydrocarbons in groundwater at the site. The report also <br /> includes a proposal for additional site groundwater monitoring wells to complete the <br /> delineation of the vertical and deep lateral extent of groundwater impacts. The results of the <br /> total investigation shall be used to prepare a revised Problem Assessment Report (PAR) and <br /> a final Corrective Action Plan(CAP). <br /> The additional investigation at the site was requested and approved by the San Joaquin <br /> Environmental Health Department (SJEHD) in letters dated June 3, 2002 and August 23, <br /> 2002 (Appendix A). This additional investigation and an interim vadose-zone soil remedial <br /> action were proposed by Horizon in Work Plan for an Additional Subsurface Investigation <br /> and Interim Sail Remediation dated July 25, 2002.
