Former Beacon Station No 12474 June 7,2005 <br /> Stockton California Results of Additional Groundwater Assessment <br /> Underground Service Alert (USA) was notified to locate and mark underground utilities <br /> adjacent to the site <br /> From February 2 to 12, 2004, Horizon conducted drilling and installation of five monitoring <br /> wells (MW-13 through MW-17) at the locations shown on Figure 2 Soil descriptions, soil <br /> sampling and field screening data and well construction details were recorded on soil boring <br /> logs Soils were described using the Unified Soil Classification System Soil samples were <br /> collected from each well boring at selected intervals as follows <br /> • 12 soil samples from MW-13 between 91 and 150 feet bsg <br /> • 4 soil samples from MW-14 between 91 and 136 feet bsg <br /> • 5 soil samples from MW-15 between 92 and 147 feet bsg <br /> • 28 soil samples from MW-16 between 6 and 142 feet <br /> • 4 soil samples from MW-17 between 93 and 137 feet bsg <br /> All soil samples were field screened using a photo-ionization detector (PID) Three samples <br /> • from each well boring covering the interval from 91 feet to total depth were submitted for <br /> analyses Drill cuttings were stockpiled at the site on and covered by plastic sheet After <br /> completion of drilling, four discrete soil samples were collected from the drill cuttings <br /> stockpile for disposal characterization <br /> The monitoring wells were constructed utilizing 2-inch ID PVC well casing and 0 020-inch <br /> slotted well screen Five-foot long monitoring-well screens were set at variable depths, <br /> generally between 130 and 150 feet bsg, on the basis of stratigraphic data obtained from <br /> previously advanced CPT borings CPT-1, CPT-2 and CPT-3 The CPT logs and monitoring <br /> well logs are contained in Appendix C <br /> The soil samples were submitted, under chain-of-custody documentation, to Kiff Analytical <br /> LLC (Kiff), a California Department of Health Services-certified (ELAP No 2236) analytical <br /> laboratory Iocated in Davis, California Fourteen soil samples were analyzed for total <br /> . petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg), the volatile aromatic compounds benzene, <br /> AddtnJGWassmnt <br /> Project No 1474 15 4 HORIZON ENVIRONMENTAL INC. <br />
