HORIZON ENVIRONMENTAL INC. <br /> Specialists in Site Assessment,Remedial Testing,Design and Operation <br /> i <br /> REPORT <br /> ADDITIONAL SUBSURFACE INVESTIGATION <br /> at <br /> Beacon Station No. 474 <br /> 3443 East Main Street <br /> Stockton, California <br /> For Ultramar Inc. <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Ultramar Inc. (Ultramar), Horizon Environmental Inc. (Horizon) conducted <br /> an additional subsurface investigation at Beacon Station No. 474 at 3443 East Main Street in <br /> Stockton, California (Figure 1). This additional subsurface investigation included drilling <br /> six soil borings, installing two groundwater monitoring wells, collecting soil samples from <br /> the soil borings, and developing and sampling the new wells. The purpose of this <br /> investigation was to delineate gasoline hydrocarbons in soil and groundwater beneath the <br /> site and beneath the street area north of the site. The work was performed as outlined in the <br /> January 23, 1995 Work Plan prepared by Action, Mickelson, and van Dam, Inc. (AMV). <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION AND BACKGROUND <br /> The site is an operating gasoline service station located on the southwestern corner of the <br /> intersection of East Main Street and Broadway Avenue in Stockton, California.
