Locations of these and other pertinent <br /> site features are shown on the Site Plan (Figure 2). <br /> Previous environmental work at the site was performed by AMV and others. This previous <br /> work included drilling three onsite soil borings (SB-1 through SB-3) prior to removing the <br /> UST's, the removal and replacement of the UST's in September 1993, and drilling three <br /> additional soil borings and installation of three onsite 4-inch inside diameter (1D) <br /> groundwater monitoring wells (MW-1 through MW-3) in December 1993. Detectable <br /> concentrations of gasoline hydrocarbons were found to be present in the soil and <br /> groundwater during theses previous site investigations. Locations of the soil borings, UST's, <br /> and groundwater monitoring wells are shown on Figure 2. Groundwater was found to be <br /> present at a depth of approximately 80 feet below ground surface (bgs). <br /> S FIELD WORK <br /> Field work was conducted between May 8 through May 30, 1996 in accordance with the <br /> Horizon Site Safety Plan dated April 29, 1996. Prior to performing the soil borings, <br /> Underground Service AIert was notified. Prior to drilling, an encroachment permit was <br /> obtained from the City of Stockton Department of Public Works for the offsite groundwater <br /> monitoring wells, and well permits were obtained from the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Division of Public Health Services for all of the soil borings and <br /> groundwater monitoring wells (copies are included in Appendix A).
