' Groundwater 't 1 Development andSampling On September 30 and October 1, 1997, Horizon personnel conducted well development, ' purging and sampling of groundwater monitoring wells MW-6 through MW-9. Depth to groundwater levels were taken before and after purging and sampling, and were recorded on ' Monitoring Well Data Sheets (Appendix E) and summarized in Table 2. Groundwater samples were contained in chilled storage for transport to the laboratory for the requested ' analyses. The calculated wellhead elevations are included with the well numbers on Table 2, along with the groundwater data collected from the wells during the sampling event. The overall groundwater flow direction was estimated to be ' towards the south/southwest for the October 1, 1997 data collected only from wells MW-6 through MW-9 (Figure 3).: 1 LABORATORY METHODS AND RESULTS ' S_oj1 Samplea Soil samples collected from borings MW-6 through MW-9, B-5, and B-6 were submitted ' under chain-of-custody (COC) to Kiff Analytical (Kiff), a State-certified laboratory in Davis, California (Certificate No. 2236). Selected soil samples were analyzed for: total Petr_o.le.um hydrocarbons as gasoline-(TPHg), the gasoline constituents benzene, toluene; -- ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX), and MTBE by modified Environmental Protection ' Agency (EPA) Methods 801518020.
