Average groundwater levels at Well #8 are between 33 and 35 feet BGS for the
five year period. Groundwater levels at 890 North Main Street have fallen from 13
feet BGS in 1987 to 29' in 1991. However, there may be seasonal fluctuations at the
study property that were not detected because only one measurement was obtained
(except for 1989)each year.
Groundwater Pump Test
A groundwater pump test was performed on October 15th and 16th to investigate
the aquifer re.pone to severe fluctuation. Prior to the test, verbal
permission was obtained from the Sout`t Sart Joaquin Irrigation District and the City
of Manteca Public Worcs Department to discharge the groundwater to a storm
drain. The storm drain adjacent to the property on North Main.Street was used. A
Grunfos pump was placed in Monitoring Well 4 at a depth below the lowest point of
Monitoring Wells 1, 2, and 3. 1be pump test settings are listed below:
Well Well Well Well
Depth to Bottom 32.20' 33.20' 32.04' 37.28'
Depth to Water 28.97' 28.85' 29.28' 29.55'
Depth of Pump - - 36.00
,*
Depth of Probe 31.0' 32.1' 31.0'
Measured-from the pump o0 om
Parker Environmental ServIC93 4185 Rialto Court Pittsburg CA 94565-6116
Phone (510) 439-`1024 Fax (510) 439-2566
