F'
Page 7
- Pressure transducer probes were placed in Monitoring Wells 1,2 and 3 and were
hooked up to an Insitu® Datalogger 2000. A probe was not placed in Monitoring
Well 4 because Insitu informed us that the probe cable picked up signals from the
Grunfos (brand)pump and tended to erase Datalogger 2000 settings and information
during a pump tett. Measurements for MW 4 were obtained manually using a Keck
water level probe.
k The pump test was started at 4:15 p.m. on October 15,1991, and the pump was turned
_ off at 11:00 a.m. October 16, 1991, for a drawdown time of 18 hours and 45 minutes.
Measurements of the recovery were taken for two hours after the pump was turned
off. Pumping rate during the test averaged approximately 2.15 gallons per minute.
An attempt was made 16 hours into the test to increase the pump rate, but the pump
began sucking air almost immediately, so the pump was returned to the 2.15 gallons
per minute rate.
Readings of the water level in each well were taken four times between 4:15 and 7:00
p.m. and hourly thereafter until the pump was turned off at 11:00 a.m. After each
round of readings, the pump flow rate was measured by placing the discharge water
in a 1/2 gallon measuring container and timing the rate of fill. The manual probe
readings are shown in the charts below. Actual probe readings and charts generated
by the Datalogger 2000 are included in the Appendix.
s
Monitoring Well#1
-28.96
-28.98 ■ ■166 17 19 21 23 1: 3: 5: 7: 9: 11 11 11 11 1.2 12 13
291 1 : :5 :0 :0 :0 00 00 00 OD 00 :0 :0 :1 :2 :0 :3 :0
2 ■3 0 0 0 0 9 0. 6 0 0 0
-29.02 33
■.■
Depth from -29.04 -.- ■-■
Surface -29.06 ■%■ or
010-29.08
■
-2 9.1 ■■-■r`
■
-29.12 --
■-+''
-29.14
The gap in readings from 11:00 to 11:26 is due to taking manual readings for
Monitoring Well 4.
Parker Environmental Services 4185 Rlaito Court Pittsburg CA 94565-6116
Phone (610) 439-1024 Fax (510) 439-2566
IYOIil411RAlllil
