Following incorporation of DISTRICT <br /> comments, the reports shall be submitted to the DISTRICT for submittal to the guidance <br /> agency. <br /> Handling, characterization, and disposal of the IDW generated during quarterly <br /> monitoring will be done in accordance with procedures outlined under Task 3. It is <br /> assumed that the generated waste will be disposed of as non-hazardous waste. <br /> TASK 6C: IMPLEMENT REMEDIATION ACTIVITIES -STOCKTON YARD <br /> Upon DISTRICT approval and County concurrence with the remedial action work plan <br /> for the Stockton Yard site, the CONSULTANT will implement remediation. For the <br /> purposes of this scope of services and cost estimate, it is assumed that air sparging will <br /> be the selected alternative. A groundwater recovery/sparging well will be installed to <br /> facilitate remediation. Remediation costs presented in the Basic Scope of Services <br /> include installation of a pump in the air sparging well. Actual costs for the <br /> implementation of the remedial alternative will be determined after the DISTRICT and <br /> County approval of the recommended option and the duration of the remediation is <br /> established. <br /> In addition to the implementation of the remediation, the CONSULTANT will conduct <br /> quarterly monitoring, prepare quarterly monitoring reports, conduct verification <br /> monitoring, and prepare verification monitoring progress reports under Task 6C. As <br /> detailed under Task 3C, all quarterly reports will be submitted to the DISTRICT for <br /> approval, revised as necessary, and resubmitted to the DISTRICT for submittal to the <br /> guidance agency. <br /> TASK 7 FINAL CLOSURE REPORT - STOCKTON YARD <br /> After verification monitoring has confirmed that remediation of the impacted groundwater <br /> is complete, the CONSULTANT will prepare a final closure report for the Stockton Yard <br /> site. This report will summarize the background and site history, investigative activities <br /> conducted, and the remediation activities performed at the site. Supporting laboratory <br /> data and the quarterly monitoring and verification monitoring progress reports will be <br /> submitted with the final closure report to document the successful remediation of the <br /> 93P4 EBMUD-Brentwood,Bixier Yard,and Stockton Yard <br /> 90570413.d 12 Exhibit A-Scope of Services <br />
