The Report discussed
the descriptions and evaluations of possible remediation alternatives for the site, and did not
include passive bioremediation. The Addendum provides the rationale to perform passive
bioremediation at the site.
We discussed using passive bioremediation ata meeting in June 1995, and agreed that this was an
acceptable alternative. This.decision is based on the following criteria:
• The dissolved hydrocarbon plume has stabilized and is not migrating
• Natural bacteria are present at the site
Source of any contamination has been removed
• The site has been adequately characterized
• .
