BVWST participants conduct their work in accordance with the Site <br /> Safety Plan and applicable safety rules. <br /> All BVWST personnel will be directed to bring to the attention of the <br /> SSC any unsafe condition, practice, or circumstances associated with or <br /> resulting from the investigation. <br /> In cases of immediate hazard to BVWST personnel or the public, <br /> BVWST personnel on the site will take all practical steps to eliminate, <br /> neutralize, or avoid hazards associated with field activities. Follow-up <br /> Lconsultation between the SSC and the BVWST DHS will be made at the <br /> first opportunity. In such circumstances, the SSC will take the steps <br /> f necessary to ensure that BVWST activities are completed safely. These <br /> L steps may include work stoppage and scope revision discussions with the <br /> District Project Manager. All such actions will be approved by the <br /> BVWST DHS. In cases where the hazard is not immediate, personnel <br /> r will contact the BVWST DHS regarding appropriate corrective measures. <br /> 2.0 Site Safety Briefings <br /> Before BVWST field activities begin, the SSC and field team will review <br /> the Site Safety Plan. This review will include: safety equipment; <br /> maintenance and limitations; special hazards; accident'prevention <br /> procedures; emergency response procedures; and accident reporting <br /> procedures. The Site Safety Plan will be signed by all team members. <br /> The SSC will hold a pre-field activities meeting with team members who <br /> may later become a part of the field team before they take part in field <br /> activities. Subsequent briefings will be held if unsafe practices are noted <br /> or a change in site conditions requires modification of the Site Safety <br /> Plan.. <br /> 3.0 Visitors <br /> Access to the site will be the responsibility of the District. <br /> Visitors will be advised of the nature of BVWST activities and related <br /> hazards and that their entry onto the site is not covered by the BVWST <br /> 93R22 East Bay Municipal Utility District <br /> 40429200.wp 35 Work Plan-Stockton Service Center <br />
