No petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons in excess of detection limits were found in the groundwater from any <br /> other wells. <br /> Weston performed quarterly monitoring of the groundwater monitoring wells <br /> for the second and third quarters of 1992 and the fust quarter of 1993. Benzene, <br /> L toluene, xylenes, and TPH-g were detected in only MW=1 during these sampling <br /> events. <br /> 2.0 SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> A. Vicinity Description <br /> The Stockton Service Center is approximately 1,000 feet south of the Port of <br /> Stockton and the Stockton Deep Water Channel, at the intersection of West Main <br /> Street and Los Angeles Avenue as shown on Figure 2-1. The Atchison, Topeka, and <br /> Sante Fe Railroad is approximately one half mile south of the site and the San Joaquin <br /> L, River is approximately one mile southeast of the site. <br /> 'J The Stockton Service Center contains several buildings used for offices, <br /> garages, and storage, and two above ground storage tanks used for refueling vehicles. <br /> LThe adjacent streets, onsite building locations, former UST locations, and known <br /> subsurface utility locations are shown on the site map on Figure 2-2. <br /> B. Previous Investigations <br /> The previous investigations at the site include UST removals and soil and <br /> i <br /> groundwater assessments conducted between July 1987 and April 1993. These <br /> investigations have been described in Section 1D of this work plan. The previous <br /> sampling locations are shown on Figure 2-3. <br /> 1 r M <br /> The soil and groundwater assessment performed by Kleu>Lfe de in May and <br /> October 1989 detected petroleum hydrocarbons in the soil and groundwater. The <br /> results of this investigation are summarized in Table 2-1.
