1 .1 Scope of Work <br /> The scope of the site assessment was outlined in the Draft Additional Site <br /> ' Assessment and Quarterly Monitoring Work Plan, July 1993 (Work Plan) The field <br /> activities included <br /> ' 1 Collecting seven HydroPunch 1I® groundwater samples and submitting <br /> the samples to the District's laboratory for chemical analysis <br /> 2 Installing two groundwater monitoring wells <br /> ' 3 Collecting soil samples during the drilling of the monitoring <br /> wells at 5- <br /> ' foot intervals to the water table, and submitting the soil samples to the <br /> District's laboratory for chemical analysis <br /> ' 4 Developing and sampling the groundwater monitoring wells during the <br /> third quarter of 1993, and submitting the groundwater samples to the <br /> ' District's laboratory for chemical analysts <br /> 5 Collecting a composite soil sample and a composite groundwater sample <br /> and submitting the samples to the District's laboratory for waste profile <br /> characterization analysis <br /> 1 .2 Site Location <br /> ' The Stockton Service Center is at 1804 West Main Street, at the southwestern <br /> corner of the intersection of West Main Street and Lost Angeles Avenue in Stockton, <br /> ' California (Figure 1) The site is approximately 1,000 feet south of the Port of <br /> Stockton and the Stockton Deep Water Channel <br /> ' 1 .3 Site History <br /> The District uses the Stockton Service Center as an operations and <br /> ' maintenance yard The Stockton Service Center contains several buildings used for <br /> offices, maintenance garages, and storage (Figure 2) Formerly, three USTs and a <br /> pump dispenser were located adjacent to the shop and garage and were used for <br /> refueling vehicles The USTs were replaced by two above ground tanks <br /> In July 1987, the District removed one 1,000 gallon leaded gasoline UST from <br /> the Stockton Service Center Petroleum hydrocarbons in excess of detection limits <br /> ' 93R22 Last Say Municipal Utility District <br /> 40429500 asa 2 Stockton Svc Ctr -Site Assessment/Remedial Options <br />
