Individual Profile <br /> MARK W. ROSER <br /> COMPANY <br /> POSITION: Project Manager <br /> EDUCATION: College course work in Business Administration and Chemistry. <br /> BACKGROUND: Mr. Roser, joining EnviroSearch, is responsible for programs in the area <br /> of occupational safety and health, training, emergency response and <br /> environmental services, along with general administration and <br /> management of the corporation. <br /> EXPERIENCE: Mr. Roser's experience includes program procedure development, <br /> personnel development and supervision of multi-disciplinary response <br /> teams, government agency liaisons and support to special projects. <br /> Mr. Roser has responded to over 500 chemical emergencies and has been <br /> involved in the management of several hundred additional incidents. <br /> Projects have included management of two T.S.D. facilities for the <br /> Department of the Navy, one at sub-base Bangor and the other at China <br /> Lake Naval Weapons Center, abandoned waste sites, rail, water and <br /> highway incidents. During these projects he has supervised both <br /> operations and technical personnel. He is familiar with the operation <br /> of heavy required to remove contaminated soils and the variety of <br /> technical and operational methods used to contain and clean up <br /> chemical spills. In addition, he has experience in cost management <br /> for emergency response contracts, such a D.O.H.S., Department of the <br /> Navy and Caltrans. As manager of major emergency response contracts, <br /> he is responsible for designating response foreman and providing them <br /> with supervisorial and administrative support. <br /> PROJECTS: Boots and Coots, Houston, Texas. Mr. Roser purged and recharged one <br /> of the largest protein fire suppression systems in the world. This <br /> project demanded both imagination and savvy for it was an insurance <br /> company, not the designers of the system, who contemplated the system <br /> ever be purged and recharged. Other interesting projects 'in which <br /> Mark has recently engaged include: <br /> 1. EMERGENCY RESPONSE TO THE COALINGA EARTHQUAKE: The <br /> identification, removal an disposal of various hazardous wastes was <br /> orchestrated by Mark in the midst of a disaster area. The entire town <br /> of Coalinga was excavated and Mark was assigned the task of <br /> conducting an extensive size up of many structures in Coalinga and <br /> subsequently performed clean up and disposal work attendant to wastes <br /> generated by this very destructive earthquake. <br /> 2. EMERGENCY RESPONSE TO THE NOVEMBER OF 1983 TRAIN <br /> DERAILMENT AT REDBLUFF, CALIFORNIA. Mark performed all <br /> removal and disposal of hazardous waste attendant to a massive train <br /> derailment. Such hazardous waste included pesticides, fungicides, <br /> arsenic, copper sulfate and myriads of other chemicals, many of which <br /> were on fire when Mark responded to the incident. <br />
