lftr NOW,
conditions at employment start and end, but also conditions of health status prior to the
commencement and end of projects that have higher potential for health risks). Reporting
devices for status and incident factors are outlined in EnviroSearch's Medical Surveillance
Program and are subject to revision when better forms are developed.
Accident Reporting Procedures:
This procedure will encompass a strict sequence of steps to be closely followed by all
EnviroSearch employees when any type of accident occurs while performing duties for the
company. The procedure will include examples, and instruction for their completion, of all
necessary forms and required notifications.
Monitoring Program:
EnviroSearch's monitoring program is designed to evaluate the conditions of the
environment, equipment and labor, as effectively as possible, as they pertain to each service
and/or research and design project performed by EnviroSearch. The program will outline
EnviroSearch's general requirements for personal and environmental monitoring, including
monitoring instrumentation, techniques, analysis, and threshold limit values. It will also
clarify general regulatory requirements for monitoring programs.
Personal Protective Equipment:
EnviroSearch employs a variety of types of personal protective equipment to be used against
hazards that may be encountered at the job site. This program provides EnviroSearch's
equipment specifications, guidelines for how it is utilized and tested, expected levels of
protection, inventory control and maintenance, and current regulatory requirements that
address possible liability issues related to protected equipment.
Decontamination Procedures:
EnviroSearch will provide standard operating procedures and guidelines for its engineering
controls to prevent contamination and removal of contamination. The policy will include
physical and chemical means for removing contaminants, testing procedures for
contamination, equipment and materials required for specific decontamination projects,
prevention of the creation of new hazardous situations resulting. from the decontamination
task itself, complete decontamination process instruction, and specified locations for
conducting such procedures. The decontamination tasks encompass personnel, equipment and
operating areas.
Regulatory Compliance:
EnviroSearch's Health and Safety Program has an entire section dedicated to regulatory
compliance and the role of the regulatory agency within the industry. The section will
include intent summarizations for legislation such as The Resource Conservation and
Recovery Act of 1976 (RCRA), Comprehensive, Environmental Response, Compensation and
Liability Act of 1980 (CERCLA), The Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (OSHA),
and the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act of 1986 (SARA), as well as interim
final rules. Pertinent updates for the Federal Register Section 29 CFR, Part 1910, will be
included for reference and updated as the information is made available.
