INTOM!R TIONAL TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION <br /> 1 . 0 INTRODUCTION <br /> IT Corporation was retained by BP Oil to perform a pre- <br /> construction Site Assessment and provide environmental assistance <br /> to UST replacement and associated construction activities at BP <br /> Oil Station 11190, located at 1206 March Lane in Stockton, <br /> California . This work consists of the following tasks : <br /> • Examining San Joaquin County records regarding the site <br /> • Preparation of a Soil Contamination Work Plan <br /> • Field Investigation <br /> • Preparation of a Soil Remediation Proposal <br /> • Provide environmental sampling during UST replacement and <br /> other construction activities <br /> •- • Coordination of soil disposal <br /> • Preparation of a UST Closure Report <br /> During recent discussions with San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Services Environmental Health Division personnel, it was <br /> - determined that the pre-construction site assessment requested by <br /> BP Oil would be performed under San Joaquin County guidelines as <br /> an Environmental Assessment . These guidelines follow the "Tri- <br /> Regional Board Staff Recommendations for Preliminary Evaluation, <br /> and Investigation of Underground Storage Sites . " The 3 documents <br /> listed as tasks (above) will be designed along those guidelines . <br /> 2 . 0 SITE BACKGROUND <br /> 2 . 1 LOCATION <br /> The site is located at 1206 March Lane in Stockton, California, <br /> - at the southwest corner of March and West Lanes (Figure 1) . The <br /> site is surrounded on all sides by public roadway and lies in a <br /> commercially-zoned area consisting of single-story buildings and <br /> fields . The nearest known UST to those at the site is located at <br /> Pep Boys (an auto service facility) .
