KLFlNFELDFlt
• Chlorinated Hydrocarbons by EPA method 8260B
• Fuel Oxygenates by EPA Method 8260B
r Polychlorinated biphenyls by EPA Method 8080
L Metals* by ICAP
Metals analysis includes cadmium, chromium III and IV,Lead,Zinc, and Nickel
ICAP-Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectrometry
The soil samples were analyzed utilizing the silica gel clean-up methodology to reduce the
effects of organic material giving false positive results.
LResults of Laboratory Analysis
TPH-d was detected in only three of the seven soil samples analyzed with a range of 2.1 m' g/kg to
4.9 mg/kg. The remaining four .soil samples had no detectable concentration of TPH-d at or
above the laboratory reporting limit. There were no TPH-g, BTEX compounds, PCBs or VOCs
detected in any of the soil samples. The soil samples were also analyzed for cadmium,
chromium, hexavalent chromium, nickel, lead, and zinc. The following list outlines the detected-
concentrations of each metal in soil and its applicable Preliminary Remediation Goal (PRG).
Soil Results
Metal Detected Range PRG-Industrial
Cadmium ND-all 810 mg/kg
Total Chromium 16 to 22 mg/kg 450 mg/kg
Hexavalent Chromium ND to 4.3 mg/kg 64 mg/kg
Nickel 15 to 24 mg/kg 41,000 mg/kg
Lead ND-all 750 mg/kg
Zinc 28 to 74 mg/kg 160,000 mg/kg
LThe tank contents were also analyzed for the full suite of analyses noted above. In addition to the
initial analyses, which detected concentrations of TPH-g, TPH-d, and TRPH, the tank contents
had a small detection of the VOC 1,4-dichlorobenzene with a concentration of 0.0056 mg/kg.
The industrial PRG for dichlorobenzene is 8.1 mg/kg. The following metal concentrations were
also noted. All of the metal concentrations were below the industrial PRGs as noted above.
Tank Content Results
Metal Detected Concentration PRG-Industrial
Cadmium 1.5 810 mg/kg
GTotal Chromium 4 mg/kg 450 mg/kg
Hexavalent Chromium 1.0 mg/kg 64 mg/kg
Nickel 5 mg/kg 41,000 mg/kg
34202.E01 /ST03R1609 Page 4 of 7
` Copyright 2003 Kleinfeider,Inc.
