If difEcult drilling conditions are encountered, alternative sampling methods maybe necessary. • Soil and water generated during the drilling and sampling will be the responsibility of the client. The soil will not be contained and left on site. • This Proposal is based on the presumption that the client, owner or USA will clearly mark utilities and will provide any and all available survey maps or other data to determine the location of existing structures, underground utilities and services. The Fresno Oxygen should be aware that penetrating the site's surface is inherently risky_ It is impossible to deteimine with certainty the precise location of all structures, which may be buried in the ground. Kleinfelder's fee is not adequate to compensate for both the performance of the services and the assumption of risk of damage to such structures. Disruption of utilities or damage to underground structures will be the responsibility of the Fresno Oxygen. Services rendered by Kleinfelder to repair them will be billed at cost. Underground Service Alert (USA) at 1-800-642-2503 provides a partial location service free of charge for major utility lines. It is important that the Fresno Oxygen understand that subsurface buried under private property will not be marked by the public utility companies contacted by USA. The drilling company will make contact with USA for a site visit. SCHEDULE Kleinfelder can schedule the proposed scope of work within approximately two weeks. The laboratory analysis wiII require 3 to 5 working days unless a more expedited laboratory turnaround is requested by the client at an additional charge. Our report will be completed within ten working days of our receipt of the analytical data_ AUTHORIZATION Attached to this proposal is our firm's standard"Professional Services Agreement." Please note that its terms and conditions are an integral part of this proposal. Receipt of our agreement signed by the client will serve as our firm's formal authorization to proceed on this projbct. If there is a need for any change in the scope of services or schedule described in the proposal or in the Professional Services Agreement, please call us immediately. Changes may require revision of the proposed fee which will be communicated to you upon assessment of the requested changes'effect on the fee. All terms and conditions indicated in this proposal and in our agreement will be considered by both parties to.be in effect from the effective.date of the executed agreement through completion of the project.
