Soil samples collected for potential analyses will be
individually labeled and placed in an iced cooler pending transport to the analytical laboratory
under chain of custody protocols. Soil cuttings generated during fieldwork not be contained and
left on site. The borings will be closed in accordance with EFIb.guidelines by grouting to the
surface.
Laboratoy Analysis
At this time lCeinfelder proposes to submit for laboratory analysis a total of one sludge sample
and five soil samples. The sludge and soil samples will be submitted to a laboratory certified by
the State of California for the proposed analyses. The six samples will be analyzed for:
• Total Purgeable Petroleum Hydrocarbons as referenced to Gasoline {TPH-Cs} by EPA
.Method 8015M
• Total Extractable Petroleum Hydrocarbons as referenced to Diesel {TPH-D} by EPA-Method
80151xV3015
• Oil and Grease by SM 5520 EF Mod_
The samples will be analyzed on an expedited 3 to 5 working day laboratory turnaround time.
Report
Upon completion of sampling and receipt and review of analytical results, a letter report will be
prepared for client review. The report will include:
• A description of field activities, observations, and protocols.
• Results of soil sample analysis with copies of certified analytical laboratory results.
• Description and documentation of QA/QC procedures employed for field and laboratory
work.
■ Recommendations for further evaluation, if warranted.
CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES AND ASSUMPTIONS
This Proposal and the attached cost estimate are based on the following assumptions and
responsibilities:
• Fresno Oxygen will assist Kleinfelder in obtaining access to the site and owner
authorization for the proposed sampling.
• Adequate workspace and access will be provided_ Kleinfelder will attempt to advance
the excavation and soil.borings and collect samples at the proposed locations. If the
drilling equipment cannot be positioned, alternative drilling locations or sampling
methods should be investigated.
0200 1 PROP.ENV/ST03P162 Page 3 of 6
Copyright 2003,Kleinfetder,Inc.
