Ground water elevations have risen 25 feet since the soil and ground water site
assessmentlinvestigation began at this site in 1987. The MWs that were installed between
1987 and 1992 have long screened intervals, some 35 feet in length, and are currently
screened below the water table. These MWs are not providing useful information and need to
be replaced with MWs that will provide better data. MW-1-P through MW-6-P will be over-
drilled to total depth, the casing and filter pack removed, and will be reconstructed with shorter
more appropriate screen intervals.
2. Two additional deep MWs will be installed east and southeast of the site to further define the
contaminant plume distribution.
3. To install 6 on-site shallow MWs that will be screen appropriately across the current water
table. These MWs will provide ground water data that will be used to define the plume
laterally.
4. Two of the shallow MW boreholes will have soil samples collected for chemical analysis to
better define the vadose contamination in these areas that lack soil data. The remaining
borings will have soil samples collected for lithologic recording only.
5. All MWs installed during this phase of work will be developed and sampled on a quarterly
basis. Quarterly reports will be submitted to EHD and CVRWQCB for review.
