Box 2009
Stockton, California 95201
Subject: Permit for drilling of monitoring wells at U.S.A.
service station, 2132 East Mariposa Road, Stockton.
Ms. Cotulla:
Enclosed please find a completed well permit for drilling two
monitoring wells at the above-referenced site, with a check in
the amount of $35. 00 for the permit application fee. We hope
that you find all in order, and that permission to drill will be
forthcoming shortly.
After researching the availability of encroachment permits for
drilling on city property adjacent to the station, we have
decided to delete the proposed off-site well to the west of the
site discussed in our meeting of May 8 , 1987 . Because of the
costs and delays involved in acquiring permits and maintaining a
well on City of Stockton property, Applied GeoSystems proposes to
proceed with installation of the two proposed on-site wells.
Information gathered from these two wells will allow us to
evaluate the need for any further work to the west of the site.
Please call if there are any questions regarding this permit
application or any other aspect of this project. Our approach
has been discussed with Mr. Niblack, of the California Regional
Water Quality Control Board. We hope to begin work as soon as
the permit is approved.
Sincerely,
Applied GeoSystems
Andrew P. Lush
Project Geologist
