V
Page 2
3.0 Re-Excavation Work Plan-Continued
► 1. Excavate contaminated soils starting at the point
of release to a maximum depth of 30' (See plate
13.1 for overview) . San Joaquin County Flood
Control and Water Conservation District map from
the Spring of 1983 indicates the ground water
level to be approximately -60' at the subject
location.
2. The excavated spoils will be stockpiled onsite and
covered with 6 mil black plastic sheeting pending
disposal or treatment.
3. Soil samples shall be taken during the excavation
and screened onsite with a P.I.D. meter to minimize
the extent of "over-excavating" .
1-1
4. Confirmation samples will be taken from the excavation
floor and sidewalls (See plates 3 .2 and 3.3) and
analyzed for TEPH-D, TPH-G and BTX&E. The initial
tank removal samples were also analyzed for Total Pb
and EDB. Upon reviewing the analytical data it was
noted that all samples taken beneath the tanks were
non-detectable for lead. The levels of EDB were
non-dectable at all sampling points except the east
end of tank #1 which was determined to contain 90 P.P.M.
Ur
