2373 Mariposa Road August 16, 1999 <br /> P g <br /> Pro ect 9688 Page 3 <br /> Based on the results of the above sampling program, EHD required further <br /> work The next significant work carried out was by Wrn J Hunter & <br /> Associates during October 1994 The work included drilling and sampling 6 <br /> borings to depths ranging from 35 feet to 50 5 feet The location of the six <br /> borings are shown on the attached Figure 2 The borings were all sampled at 5 <br /> foot intervals All samples were analyzed for TPH-G and BTEX However <br /> ' only the samples from boring F ( the easternmost boring) were analyzed for <br /> TPH-D Only one sample from boring F was analyzed for lead A note on the <br /> chain of custody indicated only the sample with the highest TPH-D reading <br /> was to be analyzed for lead The reason for the other analyses selected was not <br /> discerned <br /> A table which presents the results of the October, 1994 sampling program is <br /> included in Appendix B <br /> 1 Because of inconsistencies in the analyses and the requirements of EHD, the <br /> soil investigation of October 1994 was not considered adequate and additional <br /> investigation was required which would include groundwater sampling <br /> WDE became involved in the project to address the EHD concerns <br /> The following Chronology shows the significant work carried out at the site <br /> The chronology is based on materials provided by Husky Crane Company <br /> CHRONOLOGY <br /> —/—/87 One 500 and one 1 000g allon tanks last known to contain <br /> gasoline removed by unknown contractors from site No EHD <br /> supervision <br /> 10/15/91 Tank excavation area sampled by Geological Audit Services <br /> under supervision of EHD <br /> 11/19/91 Geological Audit Services publishes Work Plan for excavation <br /> and Disposal <br /> 06/--/92 Wm J Hunter & Associates hired by owner to review previous <br /> work and prepare a Work Plan for investigation <br /> 11/—/92 Wm J Hunter & Associates publishes PAR and Work Plan for <br /> Soil Contamination Investigation <br /> 08/—/94 Wm J Hunter & Associates publishes PAR and Work Plan for <br /> Soil Contamination Investigation (different than 11/--/92 PAR <br /> and Work Plan) <br /> 11/—/94 Wm J Hunter & Associates publishes "Results of Soil <br /> Contamination Investigation and request for Site Closure" <br /> WILLIAM DUBOVSKY ENVIRONMENTAL <br />
