2373 Mariposa Road August 16 1999 <br /> p g , <br /> Project 9688 Page 6 <br /> surface, the groundwater was allowed to stabilize for about 1 hour Slotted <br /> PVC well screen was placed in the hole and about 10 liters of water was <br /> removed as a development procedure A different disposal PVC bailer was <br /> used for the development and sampling of the boring <br /> A groundwater sample was then collected from the groundwater standing <br /> within the slotted PVC well casing using a PVC bailer The groundwater was <br /> 1 then decanted into appropriate containers, entered on a Chain-of-Custody <br /> form and delivered to a state certified laboratory for analyses After sampling, <br /> the PVC slotted well screen was removed from the boring and disposed of as <br /> construction debris <br /> The sample was then labeled and stored in a cooled ice chest for <br /> ' transportation to the analytical laboratory Chain-of-Custody protocol was <br /> followed in labeling, storing and delivery of the samples to the laboratory <br /> Semi-Representative Groundwater Sample Analyses <br /> The semi-representative "grab" water sample was analyzed for the following <br /> using the methods described in the July 5, 1999 Work Plan Addendum <br /> ' -Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Gasoline (TPH-G), <br /> -Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Diesel (TPH-D), <br /> -Total Extractable Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TEPH), <br /> -Volatile aromatic hydrocarbons Benzene, Toluene Ethylbenzene and <br /> total Xylenes (BTEX), <br /> -Methyl Tertiary Butyl Ether (MTBE), <br /> -Total Lead <br /> Copies of the laboratory reports and Chain-of-Custody forms for the "grab" <br /> water sample analyses from the laboratory are attached in Appendix C The <br /> results of the grab water analyses are tabulated and discussed in a later section <br /> of this report <br /> All volatile analyses were performed by August 4, 1999 The 5 day hold time is <br /> in conformance with the fourteen day maximum hold time for the volatile <br /> analyses Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) details are shown <br /> on the laboratory certificates which are contained in Appendix C <br /> FINDINGS <br /> Soil Analytical Results <br /> The soil samples from the boring were analyzed as recommended in the <br /> Work Plan The following table summarizes the analytical results <br /> WILLIAM DUBOVSKY ENVIRONMENTAL <br />
