The core barrel assembly was thoroughly cleaned as described above The augers were advanced to 5' drill returns consisted primarily of dark gray clay am -- apparent backfill material- Some aterial_Some petroleum odor was noted in cuttings_ A core was taken from 15' to 16' 6" ; recovery consisted of 9 ' of black loam & dark gray . clay, fairly soft & unconsolidated - probably backfill material A sI ight L5-noted, but there was no visible evidence of staining, discoloration, or free product A portion of the core was sealed and preserved as described above The core assembly was decontaminated as noted above.
