I
PLATE XV as a fence diagram through the six soil borings showing
the lathology encountered during the work It shows that there
are no sandy intervals above 35' in any of the soil borings, and
the highest levels of TPH-D were measured in the spoil that, had
returned to the hole.
RESULTS ()F L.ARORA MMM ANALY'LES OF_ aQI L XAMYLES
The results of the laboratory analyzes, summarized on TABLE I
show that all samples analyzed from soil borings "A" , "B" , C" ,
'D" , "E" , & 'F' were below detection limits for "EX & TPH-G
TPH as diesel in soil samples fr oil boxga
w s detected
as follow '380 kg at 430 mg/k , m kg a
15' 6" , 25 mg/kg of 20' ; ND at 25' ; 4. 0 mg/ at 3
41 ' ankmg/kg at 46' & 50 ' 6 o a lead was measured at
5. 0 mg/k rom the same e at 15' 6" , (with the highest TPH )
Copies of the laboratory reports and chains of custody are
included as EXHIBIT T
The highest levels of TPH -D measured in soil boring "F" were
above 20 ' bgl, drilling spoils and cores indicate that returned
Spoils & fill Material extended to at least 20' bgl and possibly
deeper_ Only three {3) coreos taken_below 20 ' revealed any .TPH D,
and those were at very l]ow cncentrations. The h-gher 'levels
of TPH-D above 20 ' as to be expected, since the removed spoil,
whish dad reveal some contamination, was returned to the site of
the removed UST' s_
Although every effort was made to thorough)y clean all equipment
between coring intervals, it is likely that the manor amounts of
TPH-D fou ..._are_the resull.
t e coring a ua ment There was no contamination found in theQ ?
camP
es a, 36' & 41, and no odors noted below 32' In any event,
the very low levels found should not present any threat to the
groundwater beneath this site.
CONCLUSIQNS
Based upon the results & analysis of all of the work done to date
on this site, the following observations and conclusions can be
made_
1 ) BTEX & TPH as gasoline were not detected in any of the 6 Moat
borings .
2) TPH as diesel appears to be restricted to the spoil & fill
material that was returned to the hole after the work performed
in 1991 -
3 )
991 .3 ) There has been little if any movement of the contamination
10
