QUARTERLY GROUNDWATER MONITORING REPORT <br /> Pacific Gas <br /> 2088 Mariposa Road <br /> Stockton, CA <br /> ' May 1994 <br /> ' 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> In accordance with a request from Mr Manuel Sanchez of Pacific Gas, Geological Audit <br /> ' Services, Inc (GeoAudit) has performed quarterly monitoring activities at 2088 Manposa <br /> Road in Stockton, California (the site) The purpose of these activities was to monitor <br /> groundwater conditions at the site This report describes the activities performed during the <br /> second quarter of 1994 and presents the results The location of the Site is illustrated in <br /> Figure 1 A plan of the Site is illustrated on Figure 2 <br /> ' 2.0 BACKGROUND <br /> 2.1 Site Location <br /> Located in a rural low-dense commercial area in southeastern Stockton (Figure 1 the site <br /> low-density � g )� <br /> ' was occupied by Pacific Gas as a service station until 1990 A single structure is Iocated on <br /> the northeast corner of the site (Figure 2) <br /> 1 2.2 Tank Removal <br /> Five underground storage tanks and associated piping were removed by Falcon Energy <br /> Associates in May, 1990, and hydrocarbons were detected in all 17 soil samples collected <br /> beneath the tanks and piping The San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> Environmental Health Division(PHSIEHD) required a soil investigation to assess the extent <br /> of contamination at the site <br /> 2.3 Drilling <br /> In March of 1993, GeoAudit drilled nine soil bonngs to assess the lateral and vertical extent <br /> of soil contamination The results were presented in GeoAudit's Preliminary Investigation <br /> and Evaluation Report (April 1993) Borings drilled around the margins of the fuel tank pit <br /> (tank pit #1) and in the waste oil tank pit (tank pit #2) did not encounter any soil <br /> contamination Minor contamination was detected in borings B7 and B9, near the former <br /> ' pipelines GeoAudit recommended further excavation of tank pit #1 to remove <br /> contamination that might be present below a depth of 15 feet <br /> 0-6 1 <br /> Kafir.G.QW.-944" <br />
