WKA No 2938 03 <br /> August 22, 1996 <br /> Page 2 <br /> method 602, and Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, and Total Xylenes(BTEX) using,EPA method <br /> 602 A clean "travel blank" of distilled water was transported along with the water samples for <br /> the purposes of detecting cross-contamination from field activities Monitoring wells MW 1 <br /> through MW3 and the onsite domestic well were sampled and analyzed for MTBE, as required by <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services All water removed during purging operations was <br /> placed in sealed, labeled 55 gallon drums and stored on-site <br /> Results of laboratory analysis of the water sample obtained from MW revealed detectable <br /> concentrations of TPH as gasoline of 116 parts per billion(ppb) and benzene of 0 81 ppb <br /> Analysis of water samples obtained from the wells MW2, MW3 and the Domestic Well revealed <br /> no detectable concentrations of Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons(TPH) as gasoline, diesel , motor <br /> oil, or BTEX above the reported laboratory method detection limits Results of laboratory <br /> analysis revealed detectable concentrations of MTBE in water sampes obtained from MW <br /> (3 76 ppb) and MW2 (2 10 ppb) MTBE was not detected in water samples obtained from MW3 <br /> . or the domestic well above reported laboratory method detection limits Water samples MW <br /> and MW2 were re-analyzed for confirmation of MTBE using EPA Method Laboratory results <br /> revealed non-detectable concentrations of MTBE in the water samples Sample analytical results <br /> are summarized in Table 2 Complete laboratory reports and chain-of-custody documentation are <br /> appended <br /> Please call if you have any questions regarding this report <br /> Wallace ■ Kuhl & Associates, Inc <br /> Matthew A Taylor Eric Hubbard <br /> Senior Staff Engineer Registered Geologist #4807 <br /> Copies to Mr Steve Sasson, San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Mr John Furman <br /> .
