Box 2009 <br /> F Stockton, CA 95201 <br /> l <br /> RE: Site Code 2226, Economy Fence, 2004 East Mariposa Road, Stockton, California <br /> k <br /> I Dear Mr. Collins:_ <br /> This letter report has been prepared on behalf of Economy Fence Company to serve as a Soil <br /> Remediation Summary Report for the above referenced site (Figure 1). <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> On April 25, 1991, one 2,000 gallon underground (ug) gasoline storage tank was removed at <br /> the subject site by Crisp Tank Testing. Two soil samples, identified as #a and #b, were <br /> collected beneath the tank,. one at each end (Figure 2). <br /> Soil samples were analyzed for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene,.xylenes(BTEX), total petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHG), ethylene dibromide (EDB), and total lead by FGL <br /> j Environmental utilizing EPA methods 8020, 3050, 8010, and 7421, respectively. Analytical <br /> I results, summarized in Table 1, indicate very low levels of residual hydrocarbons in soils <br /> remained in place beneath the former tank. <br /> In correspondence dated August 28, 1991, San Joaquin County Public Health Services, <br /> Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) informed Economy Fence that the subject site could <br /> R not be recommended for final closure. The decision was based upon the results of a leaching <br /> potential analyses.performed on the site as recommended by the LUFT Manual. <br /> On behalf of Economy Fence, RESNA Industries Inc. (RESNA) submitted a Soil Remediation <br /> workplan dated July 21, 1992. The workplan was subsequently verbally approved by Michael <br /> M.
