Market) <br /> Stockton, California <br /> We are required by the State Health Department to conform with <br /> the California Administrative Code, which states that each <br /> utility is to assure that its piping system is protected against <br /> backflow from the consumer' s premises into the water utility' s <br /> piping system. <br /> As part of our program to ensure that we are in compliance with <br /> the California Administrative Code, Elmer Fowler conducted a <br /> survey of your plumbing system. This survey revealed the <br /> following condition: <br /> *An auxiliary water supply in the form of a well in <br /> addition to water service supplied by California <br /> Water Service Company <br /> The above condition presents backflow hazards to the public <br /> _ _supply _ To correct this condition in conformance with <br /> _ _ <br /> regulations of the State and County Health Departments, the <br /> California Water Service Company requires one of the following: <br /> 1 . Installing adequate protective devices (see the <br /> attached Approved Reduced Pressure Principle <br /> Backflow Prevention Assemblies list and Typical <br /> Above Grade Installation Reduced Pressure Prin- <br /> ciple Backflow Prevention Assembly drawing) ; or <br /> 2 . Discontinuing our service. <br />
