TECHNICIAN Employee: / Vl&'Apa <br /> RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> Hazardous Materials Technicians ensure that hazardous materials are properly segregated for <br /> packaging, transport, and disposal. Their duties include site set-up, greeting customers, <br /> completing surveys,managing re-use, unloading vehicles, bulking flammable liquids and latex <br /> paint, operating equipment, and documenting vehicles with suspect loads or excessively large <br /> loads. Other duties as required under supervision of Project Manager and/or Lead Technician. <br /> 1 <br /> QUALIFICATIONS <br /> I <br /> 1. High School diploma or equivalent. <br /> 2. Ability to read and understand English language. jl <br /> 3. Ability to work as a member of a team. i <br /> 4. Operate equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, paint crusher and drum dolly. <br /> TRAINING <br /> • 40-hour training course(with 8-hour annual refresher) in Hazardous Waste Operations <br /> and Emergency Response as prescribed by the Occupational Health and Safety <br /> Administration in 29 CFR 1910.120. <br /> • Injury and Illness Prevention Program Training (w/bi-annual refresher) <br /> • Job specific training specified by the Occupational Safety and Health Standards of Title <br /> 29 (annual refresher or as necessary to accommodate job duties) <br /> • Respirator Protection and Personal Protective Equipment Training in accordance with <br /> 29 CFR 1910, Subparts l and 2(annual refresher) <br /> • Spill response protocols(annual refresher) <br /> • Contingency plans and implementation (annual refresher) <br /> • Forklift Certification <br />
