Kennedy/Jenks Consultants <br /> 2 3 4 624 Market Street <br /> 624 Market is a one-story, brick building built between the hotel and adjacent two-story <br /> ' building (626 Market Street) It appears to have a concrete foundation and a built-up roof, <br /> and contains approximately 750 square feet in floor area Access to this building was not <br /> obtained The building is currently unoccupied <br /> ' 2 3 5 626-632 Market Street <br /> The building at 626-632 Market is a two-story, wood frame building with a basement and a <br /> ' shingle roof The budding appears to contain approximately 4,800 square feet in floor area <br /> (including the basement) Retail/commercial space is on the first floor, and two flats are on <br /> the second floor The building is currently unoccupied Access was not gained to the flats <br /> on the second floor, however, the first floor retail space was accessible through a broken <br /> door Interior walls and ceilings are of plaster and the floor is covered with 8-inch floor <br /> tiles Fluorescent lighting fixtures were used on the first floor of the budding The <br /> basement has a concrete floor and contains a hot water heater The rear (south) end of <br /> the building has a fenced yard with a concrete patio An automotive engine was sitting on <br /> the patio <br /> 2 3 6 636-644 Market Street <br /> 636-640 Market is currently a concrete-paved parking area Records indicate that an <br /> automobile repair facility previously occupied the property A gasoline underground <br /> storage tank was removed from the south end of the property in February 1993 Soil <br /> samples taken at the time the tank was removed indicated that only minor concentrations <br /> of motor oil and fuel hydrocarbons were found in two soil samples No benzene <br /> concentrations were found and no offsite disposal of soils was required Soil from the tank <br /> removal project was returned to the excavation and the site closed A letter from the San <br /> Joaquin County Public Health Services, dated May 5, 1993, indicated that the site requires <br /> "no further action " <br /> 2 3 7 645 Washington Street <br /> A residential trailer is located at 645 Washington Street A pole-mounted transformer, <br /> owned and maintained by the local utility, is located west of the trader The concrete pad <br /> for the former gasoline pumps is located northwest of the trader and a sump is located to <br /> the west Mr Tom Miglion, property owner, indicated that these structures are associated <br /> with the former automotive repair facility located at 636-640 Market Street <br /> 2 3 8 Parking Lot and Exterior Features <br /> The remainder of the property is developed with paved parking areas Kennedy/Jenks <br /> assessed the parking lot and landscaped areas No signs of stressed vegetation, <br /> staining/discoloration of surfaces, except for minor oil staining in parking areas, were <br /> observed <br /> The buildings are serviced by municipal water, wastewater, electricity, and natural gas <br /> utilities <br /> i yob%96%96WI4 Wtext doc 4 <br />
