August 117, 1988
Page 2
Point 4 - The final point of concern regards our determination
that the identified hydrocarbon contamination might
not possibly affect the first encounterd ground .
water. Although a complete vertical and horizontal
defintion of this site has not been completed, ETS
felt that since no fifteen foot sample from any
soil boring indicted signs of contamination,no
reason for assuming that the ground water has been
impacted could be made at that time. In addition,
ETS does not state that ground water first occurs
- at fi-fty feet, in fact-, ground-water in that
vicinity first occurs at approximately sixty feet.
Atithis time, a supplemental workplan is being prepared that
will address the required horizontal and vertical extent of con-
- tamination. Should your office have any further questions or C'onCerns
regarding this project, please contact myself or Glen White at (209)
384-104.1 .
Sincerely,
Daniel L.
