(ESE), is pleased to submit this report of our supplemental <br /> environmental site assessment performed on the subject site located in the city of Stockton, San <br /> ' Joaquin County, California. It addresses the investigation methods used, locations of the <br /> exploratory borings and sample points, techniques, soil and groundwater sampling results, soil <br /> classifications, and conclusions and recommendations. <br /> ' A Phase I Environmental Assessment of the subject site, issued by ESE on December 28, 1992, <br /> identified areas of potential concern which warranted this supplemental investigation. There are <br /> ' two d automobile wrecking yards, Bloom's Wrecking Yard_ and Quintero's Auto Dismantling,_ <br /> loc ea djacent..to'the sites northern and southern boundary_respectively. Surface spills of motor <br /> �- - - <br /> oil and fuels are common occurrences at facilities of this type. - <br /> Additionally, one of.the_.parcels comprisingthe site-is.occupied_.by Thorsen_Trucking, Inc.-which <br /> ' utilizes one 10,000-gallon-underground diesel fuel storage tank and-one.-above-ground diesel-fuel <br /> storage tank. There is a potential for fuel to have leaked from the tanks or associated piping as well <br /> ' as for spills of waste oil or fuels to have occurred at the surface in areas throughout the facility. <br /> 1 <br />
