May 4, 1993 Project No. EK-6032-2 ' Document No. 9305-4002.RPT ' The soil samples from the three borings that were located on the southern property line, adjacent to Quintero's Auto Dismantling, were composited and analyzed in the ' same manner as described above. Groundwater samples collected from both areas of investigation were analyzed for TPHG, TPHD, BTEX, and O&G. • Soil samples collected from the two borings that were drilled next to the e 1 0,000 ' gallon underground diesel tank located at Thorsen Trucking, Inc. were analyzed for TPHD by EPA Method 8015. The soil samples collected at a depth of 5 feet in each boring were composited at the laboratory into one sample for analysis. The ' samples that were collected at 15 and 20 feet in the southwest boring, the assumed up gradient location, were analyzed individually due to the detection of a diesel ' odor. The remaining samples collected from 10 feet in the assumed up gradient boring and 10, 15 and 20 feet in the assumed down gradient boring were ' composited into one sample for analyses. A Hydropunch groundwater sample from the northeast boring was tested for the presence of TPHD. ' • The four shallow soil samples collected with the hand sampler at Thorsen Trucking, Inc. were composited into one sample for analysis. It was analyzed for TPHG, ' TPHD, BTEX, and O & G. • The four shallow soil samples collected with the hand sampler from each of the vacant parcels was composited into one sample. This resulted in three composite ' samples which then were analyzed for the presence of organochlorine pesticides and polychlorinated biphenyls using EPA method 8080. ' ANALYTICAL RESULTS Soil am I ' The soil samples that were collected from the two borings located on the northern property boundary, adjacent to Bloom's Auto Wrecking .Yard, yielded results of not detected above the ' stated reporting limit for all of the target analyses, including TPHG, BTEX, TPHD and Oil & Grease. 1 5 1
