Should lead containing <br /> building materials be encountered,LA&S shall do the following: if the work area includes surfaces with <br /> cracked,peeling or chipped lead paint material,it shall not be disturbed,and creation of fugitive dust will be <br /> minimized. The site will be secured and an AHERA certified lead professional will be brought to the site to <br /> assess the existing conditions and to determine what appropriate abatement measures should be recommended. <br /> C. JOB SITE SAFETY MEETINGS <br /> Discussions will be held before the commencement of work each day regarding the safety procedures and <br /> equipment that will be required for that day's activities. Sub-contractors will use professional judgment in <br /> final positioning of equipment in near proximity to aerial and subsurface electrical power lines. <br /> D. AIR and PERSONNEL MONITORING <br /> LEL meters as needed and required during drilling and may be used to monitor borehole orifices. See the <br /> Light,Air and Space Construction General Work Site Safety Plan. <br /> E. PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT <br /> Level D is anticipated for this project. See the attached Light,Air and Space Construction General Work Site <br /> Safety Plan. <br /> F. CONFINED SPACE ENTRY PROCEDURES <br /> There will be no confined space entries on this site. <br /> G. DECONTAMINATION PROCEDURES <br /> All excavation and drilling equipment will be decontaminated prior to leaving the site. The mud and water will <br /> be collected and placed in drums (closed top and open top as appropriate) for on-site storage. Any PPE will <br /> similarly be place in closed top drums and left on-site. All materials, used equipment and mud and water <br /> resulting from decontamination procedures which is found to be hazardous, will be properly disposed by a <br /> licensed hazardous waste hauler. <br /> H. SITE SECURITY <br /> Temporary construction fencing will be provided around the excavation area.
