Project No. 034-17016
Site-Specific Health& Safety Plan
Page No. 10
• Due to the possibility that VOCs from maintenance operations may have been discharged to the
waste oil tank,one(1)soil vapor boring will be completed to a depth of 5.5 feet bgs and one(1)soil
vapor sample will be collected and analyzed for VOCs.
AREA OF FUEL DISPENSERS
• Two(2)soil borings will be completed to a depth of five(5)feet bgs,one boring adjacent to each of
the two(2) fuel dispensers.
• Soil samples will be collected from depths of two(2)and five(5)feet bgs for a total of two(2)soil
samples from each boring.
• Four(4) soil samples from the fuel dispensers will be submitted for analysis of TPH-d and VOCs.
AREA OF PRODUCT LINES
• Four(4)borings will be completed to a depth of five(5)feet bgs adjacent to the inferred location of
the product lines connecting the 20,000-gallon diesel USTs to the fuel dispenser island.
• Soil samples will be collected from depths of two(2)and five(5)feet bgs for a total of two(2)soil
samples from each boring.
• A total of eight(8)soil samples from the product line areas will be submitted for analysis of TPH-d
and VOCs.
2. TRUCK MAINTENANCE SHOP TRENCH DRAINS, OIL/WATER SEPARATORS/
CLARIFIERS/SUMPS
The investigation within the truck maintenance shop will include the surface staining near the trench drains,
grated drain/sump located within a lube pit, oily liquid located with the lube pit sump, subsurface clarifiers
located within the maintenance shop building, and oil/water separator located outside of the truck
maintenance shop building. The scope of work for the investigation includes the following:
• Ten(10)soil borings will be completed in the truck maintenance shop area as follows:
o Two(2)soil borings will be completed to a depth of five(5)feet bgs in the stained areas near
the trench drains. Soil samples will be collected at depths of two(2)and five(5) feet bgs.
o One(1)soil boring will be completed to a depth of five(5)feet bgs in the stained area next
to the drain/sump located in the lube pit. Soil samples will be collected at depths of two(2)
and five(5)feet bgs.
o Four(4)soil borings will be completed to a depth of 10 feet bgs,one(1)adjacent to each of
the four(4)interior subsurface clarifiers in the truck maintenance shop area. Soil samples
will be collected at depths of five(5)and 10 feet bgs.
o Two(2)soil borings will be completed to a depth of 10 feet bgs as close as practical to the
outside oil/water separator. Soil samples will be collected at depths of five(5)and 10 feet
bgs. One(1)of the soil borings will be deepened to a depth of approximately 20 to 30 feet
bgs and a grab groundwater sample will be collected and analyzed for TPH-cc,VOCs,CAM
17 metals, and PCBs,and VOCs. Depending on the results of field screening,a soil sample
may be collected from the capillary fringe and analyzed for TPH-cc,VOCs,CAM 17 metals,
and PCBs.
o One (1) soil vapor boring will be completed to a depth of 5.5 feet bgs near the outside
oil/water separator. One(1)soil vapor sample will be collected and analyzed for VOCs.
KRAZAN&ASSOCIATES,INC.
With Offices Serving the Western United States
03417016 SSI La hu p HASP Fiml.doc
